FOOD AT HATHAWAY ROAD

One of my most important jobs is to make sure we have adequate food supplies in a changing and volatile world. I firmly believe in the need to have local supplies of all your consumables.....especially food. Food that travells hundreds if not thousands of miles is not sustainable in an age of ever escalating oil and transportation costs and the more food you can grow or purchase locally the more chance of retaining food security you have.... go to your local farmers market......buy eggs locally.....and support your local dairy....learn to read all your labels and start gradually.....it is easy to get smart about food origins.

Teriaki Beef Jerky....... made in the dehydrator.....the boys really like it. Economical as well as a good way to preserve protein.

I agree totally with your sentiments about food - but you know that already !

It's amazing that at the moment all of us are really getting down to thinking about the really important things in life.

Scary times eh?
